Dr. Afshin Yousefpour is a maxillofacial surgeon with unique expertise in the field of head and neck conditions, particularly salivary glands, as well as aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery.
This allows him to combine his in-depth knowledge of parotid surgery with refined aesthetic surgical techniques in order to offer patients the best possible results.
After completing his training in stomatology in Brussels in 1997, he went to the United Kingdom to further his training in renowned centers.
During the many years of study that led him to obtain the prized title of Specialist Consultant in Maxillofacial Surgery, he gradually acquired unique experience in cervico-maxillofacial oncological surgery, orthognathic surgery and reconstructive and aesthetic facial surgery.
After being appointed Consultant Specialist in 2006 in Sheffield, Dr. Yousefpour quickly became an active member of the skull base surgery team and, for several years, led multidisciplinary head and neck oncology teams and facial reconstructive surgery teams in the South Yorkshire region. This role gave him the opportunity to advance head and neck cancer surgery services in that part of England, as well as to refine many facial aesthetic surgical techniques, allowing him to offer and develop a purely cosmetic surgical approach in the private sector and to now master the art of facial surgery.
This is a great source of satisfaction for him, allowing him to pursue his passion for restoring function while respecting harmony and facial aesthetics. Since returning to Belgium in 2015, Dr. Yousefpour has continued to devote himself fully to maxillofacial surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, and facial aesthetic surgery. His expertise is highlighted by his numerous professional memberships in various associations such as the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd), the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS), and the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS). He also regularly teaches facial aesthetic surgery courses at Newcastle University.
Always keen to stay at the forefront of advanced techniques and committed to providing the highest quality of care, Dr. Yousefpour practices exclusively within the CHIREC hospital group (Delta Hospital, Braine-l’Alleud Waterloo Hospital, and St. Anne St. Remi Clinic). He is part of the CHIREC ENT–maxillofacial team and volunteers annually on humanitarian missions in Benin, where he has the humble privilege of sharing some of his knowledge and expertise with the local team in service of the Beninese population.
